The Original Constitution of the Dallas Agricultural Club was

Approved at the Annual Meeting of the Club held

Monday, August 4, 1958 in the Dallas Hotel, Dallas, Texas

 
 

 

Constitution  

 

 

 

 

Article 1

The purpose shall be to further the welfare of agriculture in the State of Texas.

 

 

 

Article 2

To accomplish furthering the welfare of agriculture in the State of Texas the Dallas Agricultural Club will bring together the agricultural forces of Dallas and its trade territory to discuss the major agricultural problems of the day.

 

 

 

Article 3

The elective officers shall consist of a President, one Vice President, a Secretary-Treasurer and twelve Directors.

 

 

 

 

By-Laws

 

 

 

 

Section 1

The duties of each officer named in the Constitution shall be such as usually pertains to this office.

 

All other executive duties shall be performed by the Board of Directors.

  

Section 2

The Board of directors shall consist of: the President, the Vice President, Immediate past President and twelve members (four of whom shall be elected each year to serve for a term of three years).

 

The President shall serve as Chairman with the right to vote only in case of a tie. 

 

The Board of Directors shall appoint from its membership an executive Committee of three members, consisting of President, Vice President and Treasurer.

  

Section 3

The dues shall be $25.00 per year, payable yearly in advance, due January 1st.

 

A Lifetime Membership may be acquired by a one-time payment of ten times the Annual dues.

 

The dues may be changed on recommendation of the Board of Directors and by a majority vote of the members present at any regular meeting.
